Wedding Photographer - Mark Payne

Wedding photography - it's one of the first things every bride budgets for and books. I had the pleasure to meet Mark Payne a few years back and he's now one of the only photographers I go to for advice on my own product photography. He's not just a wedding photographer but also does portraiture, family fun days and pretty much everything camera related.

Mark is one of the nicest funniest guys I've met in the industry and its easy to see how having him as your wedding photographer can go a long way to easing some of those nerves on the big day. He's also very professional, knows exactly which shots need to be set up and also how to take a beautiful candid 'in the moment' shot.

Mark says he hates photographers who are pushy salesmen and that's why he always invites any potential brides to book a FREE consultation with him where there is no pressure to book.

what's more his full packages include the following:
A pre-wedding consultation meeting
Full wedding attendance at your venues
On-line private web gallery for proofing your images
A complimentary one-month internet photo show-reel
Up to 70 prints or your Hi-Resolution images on disc
Tracked delivery of your prints.

Red and black wedding feather bouquet and hair accessories

Today I thought I'd share with you a set that I'm very proud of. It wasn't made for anyone in particular so this isn't a bespoke 'one of a kind' set, especially as I've already sold a couple of copies of the hair comb.
It's a red and black feather bouquet with large faceted black stone centres in a waterfall, or cascade style shown with the matching fascinator which comes with detachable birdcage veil.

Our photo shoot for the bouquet and fascinator took place at Glenskirlie castle in Scotland, these amazing photos were shot by Chantal Lachance and dresses were provided by My big fat gorgeous wedding. A thank you to all involved, the pictures turned out amazing!

More photos can be found on my facebook page!

Wedding Stationer - Karas Designs

It's not a wedding unless it has guests, and the only way to get your guests to come to your wedding is to invite them! An essential for every bride, no matter your taste or budget. Today I'm thrilled to share with you a wonderful and talented wedding stationary company run by the lovely Kara.

Kara's not just an invitation designer, she offers a full range of items related to not just wedding but also birthdays christenings and other special occasions! Kara's does a couple of different ranges to suit different tastes from quirky to traditional and she also have different ranges to suit different budgets, from her 'budget bride' range to her 'boutique bride' range.

She's also the mastermind behind one of my favourite designs to date - the 'kids invite' - a personalised invitation drawn by your children! Kara has a special process which allows her to place a drawing done by your children (possibly how they think mummy and daddy will look as a bride and groom?!) onto card and into a beautiful keepsake invitation.

Kara has a great sense of humour and I just love these quirky 'bunting' invitations. But she also offers other traditional invitations, pocket fold invitations and a build your own invitation option, you get to choose your shape. (Flat, square, folded, pocket fold, pocket, tag etc...) then you choose your design (dotty, hearts, ribbons, 'once upon a time', stripes etc...) and lastly your colours (pink, pink & green, Blue & Cream, Brown etc....) then Kara will make a sample design specifically for you!

It also happens that I have worked with Kara on some designs so she is a supplier for bespoke flower invitations, and she offers these through her 'boutique bride' range. As you know my flowers are available in over 100 colours, so Kara can really create a beautiful invitation and accessory set just for you.

You can see more of Kara at her website www.karasdesigns.com

Welcome to A Bespoke Touch

Happy New year everyone! And on that note I've decided to get the Blog up and running again!

I'm Steph (Anie) from A Bespoke Touch. I'd like to give you a short introduction to my business and what i make/sell.

'A Bespoke Touch' is my handmade wedding decor business. I've been in business since 2009 and have had a few years now to dedicate to my beautiful brides and customers,

We make a range of products, mostly wedding related;
  • Scatter flowers - perfect for scattering on your wedding reception tables and down your aisle from your flower girl basket.
  • Wedding bouquets - from feathers, to silks, to brooches, to buttons, to paper and books we can make wedding bridal and bridesmaid bouquets from almost anything. Stunning unusual, one of a kind design to your budget and theme. Also available toss or throw bouquets, decorative arrangements, thank you bouquets and keepsake bouquets.
  • Buttonholes - corsages for wrists, bags and lapels we offer matching boutonnières as a range to our brides.
  • Fascinators, veils and hair accessories - many brides like a one of a kind piece for their hair, or a blusher veil that matches their bouquet. We can make stand alone or matching pieces exactly as the bride requires.
  • Flower girls pomanders or baskets - our baskets are currently only available to the UK, however we do offer basket scatter flowers and decoration elsewhere. our flower-girl pomanders are also a favourite, very light weight and unusual with hundreds of colours to choose from.
  • Napkin rings - lovely hand tie ribbon or ribbon loops with larger handmade fabric flowers, these go around your napkins perfect for a touch of colour on your reception tables, they can be strung with a tag and double as a place name
  • Decorative flowers - not much different from our table scatters, but available in a range of sizes perfect for DIY projects.
  • Cake and cupcake decorations - our handmade flowers can be used to decorate cupcakes and cakes, we even make corsage style flowers perfect for the top of your wedding cake.
  • Flower topped and unusual favour boxes - we make a huge range of favour boxes from pillow, to square to rectangle all available with our handmade flowers on top and ribbon. We also offer fun bride and groom tuxedo and dress boxes and more favour boxes too..
  • Place name cards - loads of colours of card available, with a lovely handmade flower on the left, with an area for your guests name.
  • Centre pieces - we make our unique wedding scatter flowers available as floating flowers by covering the fabric in a special sealant. They are guaranteed to float for 24+ hours.
  • silk robes - our newest addition are our personalised ( or plain silk robes) they come in a range of colours, pattern and lengths and can also have diamond personalisation on the breast or back. use names or 'bridesmaid' 'mother of the bride' etc., these make great wedding bridal party gifts.
  • We also work with a select few invitation designers to achieve a stunning range of wedding invitations.
It's incredibly important to us that we create wonderful pieces for our customers, whether they be buying 10 decorative flowers or a full range of wedding bouquets. As such we try our best to talk all the details out and create something stunning in our bespoke range.

As a handmade business, buying local and supporting small business's is part of our Ethos and through this blog I'll be sharing those companies and small business's with you. Whether they be wedding related or not I hope you'll enjoy reading about them.
